Broadcom's FastRTV™ Channel Change Acceleration
Viewing digital TV has become even more enjoyable with Broadcom's FastRTV™ technology. FastRTV technology enables TV viewers to scan through channels up to five times faster, allowing near instant channel change response from the remote. By minimizing lag, FastRTV™ eliminates viewer frustration caused by long delays and double clicking the remote.
FastRTV technology is available in a wide range of Broadcom system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions for digital cable set-top boxes (STBs) and universal digital transport adapters (uDTAs). Comcast is the first service provider to deploy Broadcom's FastRTV channel change acceleration technology on its uDTA platform to transition from analog to standard definition (SD) digital TV broadcasts.
